the baaaaaaaaby

Everyone asks me about the baby so I thought I would write a little something about her here. Her name is Hayley Rabbit Billingsley and she was born on February 12, 2003 at 8: 34 am. So you can do the math to find out how old she is. All of my family calls her Bunny. She learned a new word today. She can say "butt" now.  She can also say "heinie", "poopoo", and "peepee" among other things. Bunny has cerebral palsy so she can't talk in complete sentences or walk yet, but she's a really fast crawler and she can say a couple of phrases like "pick up", "go home", "eat ee ee" (that means eat a rodent), and "die doggie die". Her neurologist and physical therapist both say that she should be walking by the time she's four. She may never speak with as much fluency as other children in her age group, but everyone seems to think that she will eventually learn to communicate more effectively. Hayley really loves Dora the Explorer but she calls it Backpack because she can't make "r"  sounds. For awhile she would wake up in the middle of the night demanding to see Backpack. So, I bought her a DVD. It's the one with the Choo Choo on it. Hayley calls it a Hoo Hoo because she can't make an "s" sound either. She calls herself Baby even though she can say Hayley. She's been living with my parents for awhile because I've been going to school full-time and I just split up with Hayley's dad. He's still around and I still like him a lot, just the marriage didn't work out. Hayley calls him Dadddy. She rolls her d and its real cute. This weekend I'm moving in next door to my mom so I'll get to see Bunny a lot more and that makes me happy.
